A unique card for a special day a unique Valentine

Today is the big day! I'm not a really big celebrator of Valentine's Day, but I do enjoy getting to bust out my heart shaped dies and go all frilly for the occasion in my cards. This specimen is the epitome of what I love about the holiday; I got to use a section of the doily, some heart themed DSP, and a heart die cut accented with some bling. What isn't to love about this??

I had originally planned to give this card to my darling hubby, but it occurred to me that he may not really appreciate the frou frou looks. He'd appreciate the sentiment and the care that I put into the creation, but this one is way to feminine for him. So, I'll be holding on to this one to show as a sample at workshops and events because it is definitely unique and pretty (imho).

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Real Red, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
  • Ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake (for sponging)
  • Accessories: Typeset Alphabet die, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Hearts Framelits, Dotted Scallop border punch, White Tea Lace doily, Basic Rhinestones
