My world is shrinking every day as the efforts to step up containment of COVID19 are getting more and more restrictive. I know that this is true for people all over the world, but I’m feeling a little whiny right at the moment. So… the antidote is to get creative. The South Burlington stamp club group agreed that it was prudent to cancel our March meeting. One of my planned projects was to create an Easter card, and this is what I came up with. I love the symbolism of the butterfly for Easter and these dies are just plain stunning. What do you think? Would the group have enjoyed making this card?
This current challenge was the inspiration for my card design. I didn’t do the fancy edge that you see along the blue panel in the sketch. There is enough fussiness between the butterfly diecuts and the pretty DSP, that it would have been too much to add another dimensional layer. So, I added a bit of black to create a separation between the layers and fulfill that aspect (sort of).
