I thought I would continue to share the tags that I created for the Stamp-A-Stack gifts. I have been having so much fun making them, that I just can’t stop showing you what I’ve created. At first I found it a little challenging to create with such a small finished area. After I got past my original reluctance, I found that it is really quite fun to “go small”. This reminded me of a 3×3″ card swap that I participated in several years ago. I ended up having a blast with that one, too. You need to use smaller elements, but overall design principals still apply. Also with a small area, it frees you up to use designer series paper with abandon because you’re using smaller pieces – so a sheet goes further.

As always I had lots of fun coloring these cute little elves from the Signs of Santa stamp set. And the coordinating dies make it easy-peasy to cut out the colored images when I was done. Every time I look at these tags it brings a smile to my face. I used some retired products (the DSP, Stitched Seasons die, Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends, brad and ribbon) but you can purchase current products to create your own. Also, I encourage you to dig into your stash and get creating with what you have. That’s part of the fun that I’ve had as well, using up a teeny-tiny portion of my massive retired stash.

Oh! I just remembered a little touch that I added to the elves. I applied a little bit of embossing paste to the pompom and cuff of his hat to make it look fuzzy. I didn’t add a lot, so it is subtle and doesn’t show up well in the photo. I love trying out little touches like this!
