Another step closer to being ready
This is the second month of my personal challenge to create a few cards each month so that I can be ready for the Holidays this year, and have less stress. I'm happy that I'm still marching ahead toward my goal, and I like experimenting with different stamp sets, different color schemes, and this month a sketch. I actually used some of my retired DSP that I have on hand (I have LOADS of DSP) for this card. It is a Christmas pattern that I have always loved, and it feels good to use some of it. I made another 8 cards this month, so I'm actually a month ahead of my goal, which is really fantastic!
I was inspired this month by a sketch challenge on a blog that does a weekly Christmas card challenge. I've participated once before, but it has been a while. This challenge translated quickly into a design in my head, and it came together pretty quickly. I've shared the sketch image here, but you can go to the site and see past challenges as well.
I used the following supplies to create this card:
- Stamps: Christmas Lodge, Netting
- Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
- Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso (for sponging)
- Accessories: Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Ovals Framelit, Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Stampin' Sponges, Deck the Halls DSP (retired), Dimensionals
Love the vintage look you have created, Andrea. The Netting background on the sentiment looks fabulous. Love that DSP as well!
