It is definitely starting to feel like Fall here in VT, even if the calendar shows that it’s still summer for a few more days. During a meeting last week a co-worker who lives in Wisconsin now, but used to live in Middlebury asked if it was Fall-like here yet. At that time, I had to say “not really”, but over the last week and a week it has definitely changed.
Last evening I met virtually with the South Burlington Stamp Club gals and it was an absolute blast to catch up! One of our members has moved away, so it was nice to meet this way so that she could be included. She had some very interesting moving stories to share, and we had a great time laughing and enjoying each other’s company. This is the second time that we’ve met since COVID19 overturned all our lives, and I’m not going to wait so long before scheduling our next meeting. I’ve really missed these fun ladies!
This was one of the cards that I designed for the group. Each member received kits with the pre-cut ingredients but these ladies didn’t want to see my sample so that they had to design their own creation. It was really cool to see what everyone designed with the kit and the stamps that they have on hand. These gals are so artistic!
I used this old sketch as the layout inspiration for my card. A partial diecut using the 2nd largest of the Celebration Labels dies created the background element for the rounded square piece in the sketch. The Banners Pick a Punch is just the tool to create the banner end for the strip element that I stamped the greeting on. My card is an even blend of regular catalog products and August – December products; I love how they come together for this Fall-themed card.
