I haven’t shared a lot of cards yet this Holiday season. Last year I created a bunch of cards after I had sent my cards so I had a pretty good inventory of cards already built up. I don’t need many more this year, so most of the cards that I’m making now will be in the collection for sending next year. I actually enjoy doing it this way, it makes it much less stressful to have handmade cards to send and I still get to create some of my favorite cards.

The papers and stamps that I used for this card are actually not on the Last Chance list, so if you like them you can still buy them and have them on hand for making some cards for 2025. Or… you could make some cards that you send late. The Christmas season does technically last until Epiphany on January 6th (per the religious/non-secular calendar). I did use a couple of items that aren’t available from Stampin’ Up! I pulled out some retired Real Red cotton ribbon and a cover plate die that I purchased last year from another vendor.

It’s been a while since I participated in a sketch challenge, and I’m glad that I finally got around to it again. This particular sketch seemed perfect for highlighting the traditional Christmas colors in the Take a Bow patterned paper pack. I decided to include a strip of the Festive Glimmer paper in the center to have a touch of bling on the card. Adding a small greeting and a little ribbon add to the theme without detracting from the pretty papers.
