I absolutely love the ombre DSP that I used for the background on this card. The Artistry Blooms paper has bold, bright patterns and the reverse of each is a more muted ombre pattern that is great in larger sections on projects. The paper is retiring and it’s on sale, too!
This card is part of the group that I created for my thwarted class-to-go featuring the Posted for You bundle. I’ll be sending out the instructions for this card and three others to all of the subscribers to my newsletter. After spending time working on designing them, I wanted to share them with everyone who is interested in creating them. If you don’t receive my newsletter, sign up today to get the class instructions in your email inbox. A few of the items I used on the card are retiring, and I want you to have a chance to get the supplies while they are available.
I used this past sketch as the inspiration for my card design. The postage stamp instead of the square element is about the only slight deviation from the sketch. I like the change because the proportions of stamp to cancellation (circle element) feel a bit better to me. I used a retired 1 1/4″ punch for the “Special Delivery” cancellation, but you can fussy cut the stamped circle if you don’t have that size circle punch or die.
While I have you, let me call your attention to the Clearance Rack in my online store. Stampin’ Up! has just replenished it with a bunch of products from the previous August – December mini catalog. I encourage you to check it out for some great deals for Fall and Winter Holiday crafting. There are also products that are great for any time of year, not just the Holiday season.
