When I look outside and see how things have greened up and flowers are starting to appear, I feel a little bit better about my day. We are living in a very weird time right now, but it’s good to take a breath, look at some pretty nature, and think about those people that are important in our life. It’s these little things that help me get through my day. Last evening I had my first ever virtual stamp club gathering. I have been missing so many of my stamping friends and it was great to re-connect with the South Burlington stamp club gals. I got them kits in advance to make two cards without any instructions. We met via Zoom and everyone showed what they created with the kits and it was amazing to see the variety of what people made from the same batch of ingredients. And then… we spent most of our time catching up with everyone and marveling at how long our hair is getting. It was wonderful!
I used this sketch for the design of my card. The original is a square card, so I switched it up a bit and went with a standard, horizontal 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card. Also, the proportions of some sections are a bit different, but I didn’t really deviate much from this sketch. I confess that I wasn’t that excited about this DSP when I first saw it in the Spring catalog due to the fashion/make-up aspects of many images. But… there are so many gorgeous floral prints that I’ve totally been won over. I’m going to be very sad to see this paper retire at the end of this month. If you like it, I encourage you to grab some while you still can. In fact, there are a few elements on this card that are retiring, so if you like something get it quickly.
