I created this card for the In Color club members last year. This card features Tip Top Taupe (along with some other colors) and the club members received it when that was their color of the month. I had fun last year creating 5 different card designs showing off the 2015-17 In Colors, and I'm gearing up to do it all again for this year. I'm having visions of Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum dancing in my head, along with the other three gorgeous colors. We just started up the club, but if you are interested in joining us, please let me know. I can work you into the rotation so that you can participate, too (and receive some sample cards like this one).
I was inspired for this card design from a past sketch challenge from Pals Paper Arts. I had a dickens of a time finding the image on-line (it seems to not be available on the PPA site), so I hope that another blogger won't mind that I swiped this image from his site.
A couple of the items on this card are retired, but enough of it is sticking around that I thought it would still be good to share it with you. The Ovals Framelits are retired, but there are some FABULOUS Layered Ovals Framelits that came out in the new catalog. Also, the mariner's compass stamp is part of a set that retired in May which makes me very sad. I will dearly miss The Open Sea stamps, but I will limp along with other stamps in my stash. Like the Hardwood stamp that I used here; I will have to be sedated when that gorgeous background stamp hits the retirement list.
