This is the second card that the South Burlington stamp club made earlier this month. I wanted to have a project that showcased one of the great options from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, and I picked the Friendly Hello bundle. The stamps and beautiful coordinating paper are available for FREE for an order of $100 or more (before tax and shipping). The Sale-A-Bration options are available while supplies last or until Feb. 28th 2022. There are some really lovely papers and stamps of many different styles. If you need a Sale-A-Bration catalog, please let me know.

For this card, the patterned papers that I chose matched on the front, as well as the reverse side. My sample that I created (shown at the top) used the papers that were primarily Fresh Freesia. Almost everyone in the club made their card with those papers, and colored the flowers with the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends. One participant decided to use the reverse side (like my second image here) and color the flowers with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I love both of the cards! Do you have a favorite color scheme?

I used this really old sketch as the inspiration for my Fresh Freesia card. I like having a diagonal aspect to the design to add a slightly different look to my card. Of course, when I flipped the DSP, the diagonal was in the other direction. That’s another cool thing about sketches, I’ve frequently seen designers use a sketch and create a project with a mirror image.
The circle image that I used is much larger than the shape on the sketch, but I still think that there is plenty of the pretty DSP visible on the finished card. I love how the greeting and bird fit so perfectly inside the circle.
