I created this card during the recent Winter online retreat that I attended. The instructor for this card had samples that were more all occasion featuring different bundles. I decided to use this opportunity to create with some of the products from a recent Online Exclusive release that are perfect for Valentine’s Day cards. The Marbled Elegance Specialty patterned paper is absolutely stunning and it is great for projects beyond heart and love based themes.
When you look at the front of the card, especially when it is fully flat, it is a bit deceiving. This card design that the instructor put together has some extra surfaces for creativity and there is a flap on the front that can reveal an extra element behind the large die cut. I chose not to do that on my card because I already had lots going on, and I didn’t want to cover any of the beautiful marbled design. The patterned paper on the front is 6″ x 5 1/4″ and scored at 4″ to create a flap that is 2″ wide. All of the elements that you see on the front are attached to that flap. It’s so simple, and it creates an extra special look on the finished project.

This is what my card looks like fully opened. There is a little space on the right side where I can add a message. In the samples that the instructor created she also had the repetitive stamping on the right edge of the right panel. I really liked that look and decided to replicate it on my project. I really like how this bundle comes together to create some great imagery. You can check out the suite here. I used some retired gold cord because I don’t have the Gold Twisted Thread that is in the suite. I’m sure that new product would work just as well as an accent.
