featuring Snow Festival DSP What will you be doing?

This is a really unique day because of the whole 12/12/12 thing. I personally will be having a holiday luncheon at 12:12 pm today – what will you be doing?

Of course, the other thing that I'll be doing today is continuing to get ready for the holidays around my house. The next task on my agenda is to work on my Christmas cards. I finished the Sharp family newsletter last evening that we send to friends and family that we don't get to see very often. The next step is to get the cards out in the mail. Thankfully I have enough supply of hand-made cards that I can use, so I don't have to scramble on that front. Thank goodness! I am making a sizable dent into my stash, tho. I know some paper crafters create a year-long challenge/goal to create a certain number of holiday cards each month so that they are ready. I may just have to do that in 2013. Is anyone interested in joining me?

The inspiration for this card came from a demonstrator swap that I participated in. I changed up the patterned paper and the word stamp in the corner to make it my own. This was one of the cards that people made at the card buffet class that I held in November. I can't quite say why, but I especially like this one. Perhaps it is the angle for the design elements, which is a bit unusual in a card.

I used these supplies to make this card:

  • Stamps: More Merry Messages
  • Cardstock: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Accessories: Snow Festival DSP, Basic Pearls, Clear embossing powder, Gumball Green ribbon, Tasteful Trim die
