I absolutely adore the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set from the July – December mini catalog. I suspect that you may have overlooked this gem, so go check it out online so you know what I’m talking about. I’ll be here when you get back 😁. When I saw this set I immediately started to hear different Christmas classic tunes in my head. I know that I’m dating myself, but the greeting that I used on this card makes me hear Burl Ives singing this song and reminds me of my childhood and all the traditions of the coming season.
When I purchased this stamp set way back in the summer I had plans of offering a stamp-a-stack class featuring this set. I ended up going in a different direction for my latest class-to-go (that you can check out here), so I’ll be using this set for projects that I share here and my own Christmas cards this year. There is a nice variety of “shapes” and sizes of the sentiments so the set is very versatile to partner with pretty Christmas paper and other elements. In a different vein, you could channel the Staples back-to-school ad campaign and use the “It’s the most Wonderful Time of the year” stamp for a card for a parent that is relieved to send their kiddo(s) back to school. Talk about a twist!
I used this current challenge from the Global Design Project as the inspiration for my card layout. I’m really glad to have the opportunity to show off this pretty paper, the fun greeting and a great diecut on my card. This card actually goes together pretty quickly, so I’m going to make a batch of these to send this year. I still need to build up my stash, and I’m glad to have a card that looks good without requiring a crazy amount of time to create.
