This is one of 2 cards that I created for a demonstrator-only swap focused on the January – April mini catalog. I really like participating in these swaps because they give me a reason to play with some new products AND I get several samples back featuring a variety of sets. The particular swap that I join has always yielded some fantastic samples that are very high quality. And the gal that organizes this swap is da bomb at soliciting participants and keeping everyone updated on deadlines, progress, arrival of swaps as well as swap return. I never have to ask her what’s going on which is fantastic!

When I saw this stamp set in the mini catalog I was immediately smitten. I love the cute images and adore the punny greetings that are so fun! Using this set is perfect for some coloring with the awesome Stampin’ Blends. The images are just the right size to get a little coloring fix but not have to spend too long – especially if you’re doing mass production. Also the image size makes it simple to create a focal image with many different combinations for different occasions. The greeting that I used was perfect to go with the avocado and guac bowl. It’s a great opportunity to play and be whimsical!

I’ve shared several cards using this layout and it seemed perfect for this swap, too. I’m really not sure what in particular makes me keep coming back to this layout, but it definitely calls to me. Perhaps it’s the opportunity to use some patterned paper either on the left side or the far right (I’ve done both), or the chance to pull in some dies for some additional pizzaz on the divider strip, or maybe it’s the perfect placement of a focal image. So… don’t be surprised if you see this layout come back AGAIN on this blog! 😉
