I’m really getting excited about the August Paper Pumpkin kit! The kit ingredients this month are to create 9 cards, which is my personal fave. I can always use more cards to send to folkz! The special thing this month is that the box is designed to be converted into a “Hope box” to hold little trinkets and reminders of things that bring you hope. Or, you can fill it with things and give this special box to brighten the day of a friend or loved one.

Here’s a video Shelli Gardner the co-founder of Stampin’ Up! describing the Hope box (she designed the kit this month):

These are the cards that I made from the June Paper Pumpkin kit. I wanted to share what I’ve made previously from a kit so you can see a sample of one. This kit was also for 9 cards, and I’ll be sending out these cards very soon – they are so pretty! This kit was inspired by the Expressions in Ink Suite from the “big” catalog. A friend and I got together to work on kits, and I really enjoyed putting these cards together. I was able to put all of the cards together in 2 hours, and it was a lovely, low-stress creative time. Sometimes I enjoy putting together a kit because I don’t have to spend time designing and can quickly have results. Or, I can spend time designing and use the kit ingredients to create something different. That’s part of the fun – there are no rules!
