This was the “simpler” card that we made at the Essex stamp club this month. I went a little crazy with the coloring this month and both of the cards we made required the Stampin’ Blends. I was happy to pull out this pretty stamp set and the coordinating dies for this card. I received the stamp set at OnStage in November, and I’m so glad to share a creation with everyone. I was also glad to ink up the Crackle Paint stamp, too. Isn’t it pretty?

You can’t tell it from the photo, but we added some Wink of Stella to the wings and tail feathers to give it some extra prettiness. Also, we colored the pearls with the dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends marker. I absolutely love that you can color the pearls with these markers so you can have custom matching embellishments.

I used this past sketch as the inspiration for my card design. The panel in the foreground is made of two components on my card: a diecut piece of vellum and the pretty hummingbird. I have to say that I do like how this card turned out. What do you think?
