Consider the possibilities The possibilities are HUGE

I made this card last summer, but I thought it would be a wonderful post for the beginning of the New Year. The butterfly is a perfect symbol for re-birth and renewal which is definitely the theme with a new year upon us. The butterfly image and the pink flourish stamp were from a beautiful set that Stampin' Up! offered last summer called Strength & Hope. I really loved the images in that set, and I especially appreciated the fact that Stampin' Up! donated money to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for each set that was sold. I do wish that they had continued the set into the new catalog because the theme for the set is timeless and powerful.  Unfortunately, that was not to be. I hope that you don't mind that I wanted to share a project using a retired stamp set. You could absolutely recreate a close proximity to this card using a current stamp set with a butterfly image; we have several available. I'm happy that the picture actually shows the bit of glimmer that is on the butterfly image as well. It is actually pretty tricky to get subtle glimmer to show up in a photograph. I used the Frost Shimmer Paint to get that bit of glimmer. I stamped and colored the butterfly with Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink and then used a sponge dauber to apply the glimmer paint all over the front of the butterfly. Thanks for looking, and I wish you all the best in the New Year!
