The April 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit is so beautiful, and versatile. The card bases have beautiful alcohol ink inspired splotchy, bright colors and one (the one above) has gold foil highlights. The card bases have the same design on the front and the back, and I felt that is such a waste. I cut the card bases in half and attached those to Basic White Thick card bases. Originally the kit has supplies for 9 cards. By cutting the card bases in half I was able to create 18 cards instead. Woo hoo!!!

These are the alternative cards that I made with the “extra” card base pieces from the kit. The other 9 cards were assembled as designed and following the instructions (except the extra step to create the base). I dug into my stash of dies to create the diecut greetings that you see here. The ribbon is also from my stash – it’s something that I bought years ago at our local craft store. I really wanted to let the beautiful card base paper be the star of these cards. The stamped butterflies are stamps that are included in the kit. The rest of the stamps are greetings that I used on the original designs and I will have them in my stash to use in the future.

This is the video that Stampin’ Up!™ created for the April Paper Pumpkin kit. You can see everything that is included in the kit, and how the original card designs are put together. The kit is not available for sale on the store, and so far there aren’t refill kits for the kit either. I don’t know if they will become available or if this one was especially in demand and there are no extras. 🤷‍♀️

Oh yeah – I forgot that there are beautiful envelopes that coordinate with the cards in the kit. I’ll be using those with the original card designs and using my own plain white envelopes for the alternative cards that I created. That is one of the great things about Paper Pumpkin kits – they include everything that you need including an ink spot to create the projects inside.
