a twist on a gate fold another fun fold

This is another Valentine that I created for my Fun Fold Valentine class. This one put my Big Shot through its' paces! The bigger hearts on the front are die cut using two of the nesting Hearts Framelit dies. The style of this card is both a gatefold and a latch card. The two hearts interlock to hold the card closed, and add some dimension when the card is open. And the cluster of embossed wee hearts in the bottom right are a sweet little touch (again using the Big Shot).

This card will be hitting the post today to make its way down to my Mother-In-Law to let her know that we're thinking about her this Valentine's Day. She always really appreciates receiving one of my handmade cards, so I really enjoy sending them to her.

I used the following supplies to make this card:

  • Stamps: You Are Loved
  • Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze
  • Ink: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
  • Accessories: Twitterpated DSP, Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Sating ribbon, Hearts Collection Framelits, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits
