I was so excited to hear this morning that today is Mary Berry’s birthday! Last fall I fell in love with The Great British Baking Show (thank you Netflix), and that is where I first “met” Mary Berry. There are so many reasons that I love the show, but Mary’s baking wisdom along with her sweet interactions with the contestants is definitely one of them. I am virtually sending her this wish on her special day!

This card is a blast from the past in more ways than one. First, I used this super-old sketch from 2012 as the inspiration for my card layout. It’s a winner, isn’t it?! Also, I used several items that are retired along with a couple of current products. The patterned paper and the stamp set were products from Sale-A-Bration 2019, and the ribbon was retired along with the pretty Lemon Lime Twist ink. I made a batch of 25 of these cards for the church birthday card ministry, and I “shopped” my stash rather than go to a local craft store. I feel pretty good about deploying these older products, and combining them into cards to make people happy. Getting crafty is a nice way distract from all the stressful circumstances right now.
