Over the holiday break, I really needed to unwind and relax. Christmas week was still very busy – I had to work about 1/2 of the week due to craziness in the cybersecurity arena, and of course I had the usual Christmas last-minute tasks. Thankfully, I had gotten my cards in the mail earlier in December and my Christmas shopping was all done. I just had to buy some stocking stuffers – I relied on a local chocolatier for all of that this year, which was a huge relief. All of this didn’t leave a lot of time for crafting. So… in the week between Christmas and New Years I had to do some #simplestamping to create a batch of cards for the January card ministry for our church. Thankfully there are some great new images in the Mini and Sale-a-Bration flyers that were perfect for my needs.

I pulled out some non-Stampin’ Up! patterned paper for the background and I found that it coordinated perfectly with Mint Macaron. Huzzah! I pulled out my inks, some new stamps and I had a batch of 34 cards lickety-split! Which is good, because I didn’t have a lot of time for the card ministry coordinator to get the cards out for the January 1st birthdays. Once I had these cards done, I totally vegged out for the rest of my vacation. I did a bunch of reading and watched some Acorn TV (I love British and Australian TV). In particular, I started watching a new show that takes place at a New Zealand vineyard called “Under the Vines”. It’s a light drama, and the characters are all wonderful! I love creating the cards for the card ministry, but it is always a bit of a relief to hand off the cards each month.
