It feels a little strange to be posting a Christmas card on Easter Monday, but since I’ve never observed Easter Monday I’m not certain if this is in bad taste or not. I hope that I’m not offending anyone by my post. I feel that Christmas and Easter have a close relationship as the two “biggest” holidays in my faith tradition. It is a beautiful, sunny morning outside as I create this post, and I’m enjoying the little signs of Spring that I’m seeing – the snow is gone and birds are singing in the morning. But it’s always a good time to create cards for Christmas so that you have enough ready for the hectic season at the end of the year.
This was the card that I created to showcase Just Jade for the 2020-22 In Color club members. I absolutely love this color combination for Christmas cards, and I hope that you like it too. Just Jade pairs beautifully with Shaded Spruce for shading and monochromatic contrast, so it was a perfect pairing for my diecut wreath. Sadly, a number of the elements that I used on this card are retiring, so if you want any of them I encourage you to purchase them ASAP while you can. Specifically, the Wreath Builder dies, the Stitched Nested Labels dies (these are even on sale), and the Arrange a Wreath stamp set are all available while supplies last, or until May 3rd at the latest. Sadly, the red ribbon is no longer available. I especially like using the Brick 3D embossing folder with Very Vanilla; it reminds me of walls that have been painted to give a different look. A technique that I’ve seen often on my favorite TV show on HGTV – Home Town. I wonder if Erin Napier would approve of my card…
