It's hard to believe it, but Sale-A-Bration (SAB) is coming to an end on Monday! So, if you have been planning on placing an order to get one or more of the free goodies, it's time to jump on-line and get your order in. I would hate it if you missed out on getting your free stamps, kits or tools that you have on your wish list.
We created this card in the stamp club gathering last week. The little banners that hang below the pair of ribbons were created using a stamp set and punch that are available from the SAB flyer. Banners are all the rage in crafting lately, and I believe the more banners that you have, the better. The ladies in club also enjoyed the opportunity to try out the In-Color stretch trim ribbon. The stretchiness and the ruffle make it perfect for creating an edge look with some more texture like I did on this card.
I also found color combo inspiration for this card from my favorite color challenge site. For this card I looked for combos using the Strawberry Slush In-Color, and since it is so new, there aren't lots of combos on this site. I have been drawn to this challenge more than once when I've been searching, so I was very glad to complete a project using these newer colors.
I used the following supplies to make this card:
- Stamps: Banner Blast (SAB), Sassy Salutations
- Cardstock: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
- Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Summer Starfruit, Baked Brown Sugar
- Accessories: Banner punch (SAB), Chevron embossing folder, Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin ribbon, Strawberry Slush Stretch Ruffle ribbon
