I found a card layout online using the Changing Leaves stamp set and I absolutely loved the look. I followed the layout but changed the colors, patterned paper and ribbon that I used. I love using Pinterest for inspiration!!! There are a lot of things about the internet that give me pause – loss of privacy, algorithmic inflamed anger, and constant notifications that my information has been stolen in a data breach. But… there are a number of great things that the internet has created like the ability to find niche communities (like card making) with people from all over the world, and find lots of inspiring stories and images that I wouldn’t hear or see without the internet.
Okay – my mini commentary on the internet is over. đŸ˜‰It takes up a lot of headspace for me given my “day job”, so it creeps into non-work parts of my life.
I fell in love with the Changing Leaves bundle when I first saw it when Stampin’ Up! announced the July Online Exclusives release. After flower stamps I’m drawn to leafy images as my second favorite style of stamps. I think part of it is because we have such beautiful greenery and colors in the Fall here in Vermont. Leaf stamps give me the opportunity to create with images that I see around me for much of the year (ok – more like 1/2 of the year). And they are perfect for cards during the Fall – which partly explains why the bundle has been SOOO popular. Happily the bundle is back in stock again, so you can get it if you love it as much as I do.
