I purchased the Peaceful Cabin bundle a bit ago and haven’t played with it until now. I wanted it because it is something a little different than the type of set that I usually go for, and I think that’s the very reason for why I haven’t pulled it out yet. Until now, that is! I need to work on stretching myself a bit more and using stamps that aren’t my “usual”. I’m setting a goal right now for myself to make a batch of cards to send this Christmas using this bundle, and I hope that you will hold me to it. The images and sentiments aren’t exclusive to Christmas and I can see using them for a Winter-y thank you card or ‘just because’. For this card I used stamps only and masked to get the trees and the cabin all on a single layer, so I haven’t experimented with the dies at all yet. I think the stitched frame around the scene adds just the right touch of something extra without going too far.

When I found this challenge, I immediately thought of these stamps for a Winter woodland “view”. It just occurred to me that I could also have tried the Mountain Air stamps for the challenge as well, but I’m glad that I had an opportunity to play with the Peaceful Cabin images – so no regrets!

Because this is a CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge I wanted it all to be a single stamped layer, and I didn’t add any embellishments other than raising the panel up. I did pull out a different stamp set for the greeting because I needed something sized “just right” to fit in that spot on the card. I have to say that I’m pretty pleased with how this one turned out! 😁
