This was the second card that the Essex Stamp club created at their meeting. I had so much fun showing the South Burlington group the coolness of the Z-Fold card, so I had to design one for this group as well. As I explained to the ladies, the Z-Fold is kind of a gateway drug to other unique folds. The SB group had a card that had a horizontal orientation; the Essex group built a card with a vertical orientation.
A Z-Fold is really quite easy to make. To do it, you cut your cardstock into a half-sheet and score in half as you normally would. Then, score one side at the half-way point and fold back to create your “Z”. Here are the dimensions for you:
- Horizontal orientation:
- Cut 4 1/4″ x 11″
- Score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″
- Vertical orientation:
- Cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Score at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
