varied vasesThis was the simpler card that I designed for the South Burlington stamp club group. I actually think that this card took the group longer than the first one that we did that evening. This card isn’t hard to create, but there is a fair amount of stamping involved which takes a bit of time. Since I always prep the materials for the group, the “challenging” part of our first card was already done for the group, so that one moved along more quickly. Oh well!

I followed this sketch when I designed the card for the group. I know that I’m drawn to layouts in a grid format – it appeals to the engineer part of my brain. And the 4 sections on this one seemed perfect to highlight different flower stamps from the Varied Vases stamp set. I also added a patterned paper layer to show off some of the gorgeous papers that are on offer by Stampin’ Up! from the main catalog. July had a special on patterned papers and I wanted to give the group an opportunity to play with some first hand. Several of the gals used the reverse side of this paper, and those cards turned out beautifully as well.

I do have to say that I think this bundle is my absolute favorite (so far) from the main catalog. I keep getting drawn to create with it, and I am still loving the versatility. If you haven’t already, I definitely encourage you to check out the Varied Vases bundle – the stamps and coordinating punch are really just too cute!
