Non-traditional holiday colors in October?!?

I designed this card for a workshop on October 28th.  The hostess (hey Denise!) wanted to have a card that wasn't Christmas per se, but would still be usable as a holiday card.  Who in the world could have guessed that southern New England would be rocked with a HUGE snow storm the same weekend?!? We're up in Vermont and we had a little bit of lake effect snow on Sunday morning that melted off quickly.  I had no idea until later in the morning that our southern neighbors were getting a full-tilt major snow storm.  I sure hope that there isn't any sort of correlation between my snowflake stamps and getting the real stuff (wink wink).  I do dearly love my snowflake stamps, and I love to create with them, but I'm not a big fan of the real stuff.  Seriously, I do wish my southern neighbors well as they recover from this epic storm.  Let their snowflakes over the next couple of months be of the paper and ink variety!

If you want to recreate this card, here are the supplies I used:

  • Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, Curly Cute
  • Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Concord Crush
  • Ink: Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party
  • Accessories: Scallop Trim punch, Stampin' sponges, Wisteria Wonder ribbon
