I made this card a while ago for the South Burlington stamp club. The group met at the very end of the previous catalog period, so I didn’t have an opportunity to share it here before some of the products retired. FYI – I don’t share club cards here until after the club meeting has happened so that the members are surprised (hopefully pleasantly) with the projects.

There are some products that I used on this card that are retired, but you can easily make substitutions with currently available products. For instance, the dark green is Emerald Envy (which is no longer available). But, the new In Color called Call Me Clover is pretty darned close, and could readily be used on this card. Other possible substitutions are:

  • Instead of the Tutti Frutti sequins, you could use the Basic Adhesive Backed sequins
  • Instead of the Naturally Eclectic DSP strip, you could use Twinkle Twinkle DSP
  • Instead of the Black Metallic thread, you could use Basic Black Bakers Twine

In the product links below I have included the products that I used on the original card, in case you want to reproduce it and you have those supplies. Feel free to take this design and alter it with what you have.

I used this sketch as inspiration for this card design. I really like how the die cut along with the sequins create interest around the focal image. I appreciate that Stampin’ Up! has been adding elements to some die sets that do more than cut out the stamped images. They really help add some extra oomph to our card making.
