Created super-fast with MDS
I whipped up this invitation for my sons' Eagle Scout Court of Honor last evening using My Digital Studio (MDS). In the big catalog this year is a DSP collection called "Well Worn" which is fantastic for masculine projects. This paper is especially wonderful for Boy Scout projects because a couple of the patterns feature the fleur-de-lis which is a symbol for Boy Scouts. Earlier this year Stampin' Up! released the paper as a digital download that you can use in MDS (or other editing software). You can also order this paper in a CD called "His & Hers Collection" that is on the retired accessories list. The CD contains a lot of products and it is discounted considerably on the retirement list!
I love using My Digital Studio to create unique projects that are outside of the typical realm for digital scrapbooking. We could have certainly used the "standard" Eagle Scout invitation that you can purchase from the Scout store, but I wanted ours to be unique. MDS was an absolute perfect fit for the job! I started with a 5 x 7" postcard, incorporated a picture, some very well suited digital DSP, some text and stamps, and voilà, we have a special invitation for Josh's special day. Our invitation will be different than any others that our Troop members have used, and that makes me happy.
