It feels like ages since I’ve posted here! Normally, I would be going crazy sharing all sorts of Christmas/Holiday cards because they are my absolute favorite cards to create. But this year is far from normal! And I’m not referring to the pandemic. In fact, the pandemic (in theory) could give me more time for creating since I’m not doing a lot of socializing. What’s made my world go pear-shaped this year is my day job in cybersecurity. There’s a vulnerability called Log4Shell that has me working non-stop and with no energy left over to create. This card has taken me a few days to put together because I was only able to work a few minutes at a time – very spread out. I’m glad to finally have it done and I can share it with you! I love my regular job very much, and I love that I have a creative outlet that can help me keep some balance when work gets intense. I’m also very relieved that I was a bit ahead of my usual schedule and I got all of my Holiday cards out in the mail, and my Christmas shopping done, before things got crazy at work. I still need to carve time to buy some stocking stuffers, but I’m going easy this year and shopping at a local chocolate shop. That was already my plan before all this, and I’m sticking to it!

This challenge was the inspiration for my card creation. I’m glad that I was able to finally share it here, just under the wire for the challenge deadline. I really love this sketch, and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to show off some great Christmas products from the Annual and July – December Mini Catalogs. This sketch is perfect to showcase some pretty DSP, and I absolutely love the Tidings of Christmas paper from the big catalog.
