I designed this project for the South Burlington stamp club group. I wanted to showcase a project that they could use for a gift this Holiday season. I altered the pizza box from Stampin’ Up! to cut out a window in the top so you can see the yummy treat inside. For my sample, I put in a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie made at our local grocery store. I think that this would be a perfect gift for a co-worker or someone else that you want to surprise with a small gift this year to share your appreciation.
Theses boxes are actually solid all around, so we had to cut out the window in the top to see the treat inside. This was actually quite easy to do: first I put together the DSP and the Gray Granite mat. Then I die cut the circle in that unit to create the opening. I placed that unit centered on the top of the box so that I could trace the circle opening. Then I used that as a guide for cutting the opening in the top of the box. The pizza box material is thicker, so I did have to pass it through the Big Shot a couple of times to get it fully cut. I then put a piece of window sheet under the Gray Granite mat, and then glued that to the top of the box. Lastly, I cut out the scallop circle with the same circle in the center to create a frame around the window. Ta da!

I was super-excited when I received the e-mail announcing the next challenge on the TGIF Challenges site. I know that I had just the perfect project to submit… and this is it. I actually don’t make many non-card projects, so it must have been destiny that aligned my creation with this challenge.
