botanical bloomsI confess that a couple of the items that I used on this card are retired (so sad), but you could easily reproduce this with currently available items. For instance, you could replace the black & white DSP that I used at the bottom with one of the black & white patterns from the Pop of Pink DSP paper that came out in June.

I have had so much fun with these Botanical Builder Framelits creating various flower-y projects. This time around I used both the stamps (for the leaves) and the coordinating dies to create this floral arrangement. I have to confess that I have not used Perfect Plum very much over the years, but I think that it is finally starting to grow on me. The largest purple flower is plum, and the two smaller ones are Elegant Eggplant which is a wee bit darker. I also really like the soft pink teeny blossoms as a little contrast to the darker colors on the card.

I was inspired for this card by the "old" sketch that you see here. This is one of those cards that the design popped into my head, and I just had to make it up so that I could get it out of my brain and move onto something else. It was like a creative version of an ear-worm. laugh
