I created this card during an online stamping class that I took in October. I’m signed up for the next one, and I anticipate lots of fun creating some great projects real soon. The last session seemed to have more fun-fold projects than usual, and this is one of those projects. From the front of the card it looks like a normal slimline card, although the dimensions are a little shorter than a conventional size. I actually like this size (3 1/2″ x 6″) more than the normal slimline card because it doesn’t seem as skinny and elongated.

The card opens like a Z-fold card but there are 4 small panels inside that have stamped elements. I stamped a white piece that goes on the middle panel and used a piece of the Subtles patterned paper on the back panel on the right. I have to say that it was a bit fiddly to place the 4 strips and get them evenly spaced (or as good as I could achieve). This is definitely a special card that I won’t be making a lot of, and I’m still glad that I had the chance to make it. Not every project has to be a major undertaking, but it’s also good to do that every so often to learn new skills and explore new ways to create.
I’m looking forward to the next class session – I really wonder what the instructors have in store for us. I’m sure that there will be some amazing projects and I’ll be sure to share my creations with you here.
