flowers are here!
Spring was very late in arriving here in Vermont, but I'm happy to say that it is finally here! Things are getting all green, flowers are popping up all over the place, the crabapples are blooming beautifully and there is loads of pollen in the air. Despite my allergies I'm loving it!
We made this card in the stamp club meeting last month, when we were all desperately wishing for spring to arrive. This card features some wonderful products from the Spring mini catalog. The label, stamp, 3D flower and brad are all from the Pop-Up Posies kit, and the patterned paper is from a lovely DSP pack. The kit includes bits to make flowers in 3 different colors; the other two colors are Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The gals at stamp club chose which color flower they wanted to have, and it was really nice to see the variety of colors in the finished projects.
The dimension from the flower means that this card is not one that you could put into a regular envelope. Perhaps it could go in a padded envelope in the mail, but I recommend giving it in person in an envelope-less fashion.
I used the following materials to make this card:
- Stamps: Just for you (in Pop-Up Posies kit)
- Cardstock: Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla (inside)
- Ink: Early Espresso
- Accessories: Pop-Up Posies kit, Tea for Two DSP, So Saffron 3/8" Taffeta ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder
