Pop Up with Love from the Fancy Fold class

I have the plans for this fun greeting on a CD from Pat Huntoon, of Technique Junkie fame. I've been eying this fun fold card for ages, and finally decided to give it a try for the Fun Fold Valentine class that I held earlier this month. It is actually easier to pull off than it appears when you are looking at the finished product. The base folds up around the center tag so that it can be mailed, which is very cool. This does create the one drawback of this card, tho. Once it is opened, the card doesn't sit flat on the base unless you cheat by placing a bit of weight on the base behind the pop-up tag. I didn't come up with a good solution to that problem, without making it permanently in the opened state, which means that it can't go in the mail. Do you have any suggestions?

I used the following supplies to make this card:

  • Stamps: Seasonal Sayings
  • Ink: Primrose Petals
  • Cardstock: Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: More Amore DSP, Brights button, Pool Party Bakers Twine, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits, Hearts Collection Framelits
