So what are you going to do when the Governor has asked us to stay home and avoid contact with people outside of your home? Well, this weekend I got in some extra crafting time. I’m expecting that I’ll be sending even more Christmas cards than usual this year, just to let people near and far know that we are thinking of them. I made 9 of this card to add to my stash, and I hope that the recipients enjoy them. I pulled out the Most Wonderful Time Medley again for this card and I like how it turned out. A little dash of patterned paper, some cute diecut presents and this card came together super-quick. Making 9 of them wasn’t as quick (it took me about 1/2 day), but if this card was more involved it would have been even worse.
This current sketch challenge was the inspiration for my card layout. I must confess that one of the designers created a card using presents which gave me the idea to try the presents in the Most Wonderful Time Medley. I hope that Michelle doesn’t feel that I’ve stolen her design. Since there are a trio of presents in the medley, it really did seem like a perfect fit as well as an opportunity to show off the suite here.
Thankfully it is very easy for me to participate in this challenge at the same time. Since I was creating a Christmas card anyhow, I just needed to make sure that I kept it Clean-and-Simple. I did play with adding some sequins to jazz it up a bit, but I decided that it really looked best with the cleaner look that you see here.
