I’m a bit early with my celebration of Prince George’s birthday – his special day is actually on July 22nd. But isn’t this just the perfect card to give a child to help celebrate their special day? The cute characters on the stamps and the coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) remind me of some of the animals from Beatrix Potter and Richard Scarry books. When our son was small we enjoyed several of the different Richard Scarry books, and my husband still says “slow it down Lowly” every so often.

I actually created this card as a Make ‘N Take at the OnStage event I attended in Savannah. We had the opportunity to play with several of the new products from the new “big” catalog, and as always it was a blast! I love the bright, cheerful colors from the DSP and I was super excited to find that the Framelits not only cut out stamped images, but images from the coordinating paper as well. Isn’t that fabulous?!? And to make it even better, Stampin’ Up! is offering a bundle that includes the stamps, Framelits and DSP all together for 10% off. Woo hoo!!! I personally am unlikely to purchase the bundle, but that is only because of my personal stage in life. If I had young kids or (perish the thought) grand kids, I would snatch up this bundle lickety-split.
