I designed this card for the Essex stamp club group. When I unveiled it to the group I asked them to not panic and that I would walk them through the steps to create this card. I had prepared some of the die cut pieces to save us some time, and when we were all done the gals agreed that it wasn’t as challenging as they originally feared. As I have shared here before, I have become fascinated with the double-z-fold look, and I wanted to teach this group about it. I hope that they will take this and make it their own for future creations.
There are a lot of layers to this card, but I love how the Be Merry DSP can coordinate with the Christmas Quilt bundle and Stitched Shapes framelits for this special design. I was profligate with my DSP use on this card – I typically tend to be miserly and use it in small pieces. If you could see my collection (er – really it’s a hoard) of retired DSP, you would realize that I have a bit of a problem. Hopefully I will continue to use up more of our lovely papers in my projects – please stay tuned and keep me honest!
