This is a project that we created at a recent workshop. Some of the attendees were new stampers, and there were some more "seasoned" folks as well. I created this project to show off one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that is only available until March 22nd. The workshop guests seemed to enjoy the project, and some of the gals added another touch to their finished work. They were so excited about the embossing folder that I showed in a demo project, that some decided to emboss their bookmark, too. It was great fun to observe them creating and extending the project!
To create the window effect around the quote, we used a simple paper mask. I stamped the phrase first, and then held a pre-cut piece of notebook paper over the phrase while I stamped the other images and then sponged over the whole thing. This is so simple to do, but it really does make the quote pop out.
I used the following supplies to make this bookmark:
- Stamps: Bloomin' Marvelous, Pursuit of Happiness
- Cardstock: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo
- Ink: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder
- Accessories: Wisteria Wonder 3/8" Ruffled ribbon, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, 1/2" Circle punch, 3/16" Corner punch
