Pretty and easy So many reasons to offer thanks

It is summer time in Vermont, and I'm feeling thankful for so many things!  We are having wonderful weather this year and I've thoroughly enjoyed spending time out on the lake and walking around with my wonderful husband.  My son is away working at Boy Scout camp for the first time and he is having an absolute blast (although I miss him tremendously).  We are preparing for our son to head off to college next month; and that is very exciting, wonderful and scary all at the same time.  I am feeling truly blessed!

I love this stamp set, and I hope that lots and lots of you take advantage of the special this month to have your own "reason to smile".  I created this card for display at my open house that I held at the end of June.  Some new catalog items are featured here, although the colors featured are primarily from the 2011-2013 In Color collection.  The edges on the sides of the white panel were cut using one of the Finishing Touches Edgelit dies.  The Thank You banner was created using an Itty Bitty Banners stamp and the Bitty Banners Framelit die.  I hand cut the Early Espresso mat around the banner die cut. This card was really easy to put together, and I was inspired for the color combination by a combo from the ColourQ site.

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Reason to Smile, Itty Bitty Banners
  • Cardstock: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Whisper White
  • Ink: Calypso Coral
  • Markers: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
  • Accessories: Elegant Lines embossing folder, Bitty Banners Framelits, Finishing Touches Edgelits
