I was so sad to hear the news yesterday that Doris Day has passed away. Her movies were “oldies” when I was growing up, but I do remember watching a few of them on TV as classics. I always had the sense that her image was “the wholesome girl next door”. We will remember her today as we fondly reminisce about calmer times (even if the memory is a myth).
This card was actually the second card that I made for the Stamp-A-Stack in St. Albans. I’m happy to share that we raised $611 for the American Cancer Society and received 100+ cards to donate to Hope Lodge. Woo hoo!
For the event, I prepared the layers including the die cutting and the embossing, so people were able to stamp the label and the greeting, punch them out, and assemble the layers. So many of the participants commented that they loved the color combination. The lightest pink is one of the retiring In Colors, so if you like this combo, get that color now before it disappears.
