I was just at the OnStage event on Saturday, and all of us lucky demo attendees got our copy of the new catalog. Squeee! There is much to be excited about, but I won’t torment you with that yet since you can’t get the products until June. But… Stampin’ Up! needs to sell the products that are retiring to make room on the shelves for the new goodies that will be arriving at the warehouse really soon. You can click on the image above to be taken to the retiring section of my on-line store.
I do need to offer a couple of updates that are a little different this year. As of the next catalog, all rubber stamps (except background stamps) will only be available in the Cling format. So… there are some stamps on the retiring list (like Flourishing Phrases) that aren’t retiring in the traditional sense. They will be available in the new catalog, but in a “re-configured” form (in Cling only). Click here to view the list of the products that are retiring from the 2018-19 Annual catalog. The stamps that are being converted to Cling are highlighted and have an asterisk (*). Click here to view the list of the products that are retiring from the Occasions catalog.
Another difference this year is related to dies and embossing folders. Stampin’ Up! is ending their partnership with Sizzix and they will be working directly with a manufacturer for these products. Die sets that are not retiring may become unavailable until the new catalog is “live”. This will happen if Stampin’ Up! sells all of their inventory of the products manufactured by Sizzix before the new catalog is available. I hope that this doesn’t happen a lot, but I can’t make any promises. The company is very excited about the creative possibilities that they will be able to explore by working directly with a manufacturer; we just need to weather this transition period.
Last I will offer you a suggestion: sit down with a lovely beverage (coffee, tea, wine, whatever you love) and review your wish list along with the retirement lists. Prioritize what you absolutely, definitely want to have in your crafting collection, and place your order online to make sure that you get what you want. If you want any of the 2017-19 In Color products, don’t dilly-dally because those tend to run out rather quickly. Happy shopping!!!
