This is one of the cards that I created over the weekend for the birthday card ministry for our church. I left the Stampin’ Up! ranch for the papers that you see here, but I used a retiring stamp, coordinating dies and some retired ribbon that all are from my favorite paper crafting company. In the past I purchased some patterned papers at a local big-box craft store for the card ministry, and since I’m still staying at home (mostly) I used up some of the papers that I still had on hand. The gals that send the cards will find a rather eclectic mix of designs in the bag of 25 cards this month!

The sentiment on this card is from a retiring stamp set called Painted Glass. It has some beautiful script that reminds me of the Illuminated lettering (although not as fancy) that monks used to create during medieval times. There are a couple of stained glass images and some gorgeous coordinating dies as well. I thought that a greeting on a church birthday card was the perfect use of this sentiment. Yes?
