This stamp set is retiring
Over the next few weeks I'm going to try to feature projects that use stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of May. This will give me an opportunity to ink up those sets before I bid them adieu. I remember when this set came out in a Holiday Mini catalog a few years ago. I'm not fond of my coloring or watercoloring skills, so this set didn't get the proper love that it deserved. When you add in the accessories set, you can create projects that really suit almost any occasion or holiday. I totally love the stack of furniture that you can use for a "moving" card.
This card was originally created as a project for my stamp club gals back in the fall of 2010 to teach them the spotlighting technique. I have shared another post that describes how to do this technique here.
I used the following materials to make this card:
- Stamps: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories, Woodgrain, Sanded (retired)
- Ink: Basic Black, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango
- Cardstock: More Mustard, Naturals Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla
- Accessories: gold brads, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, aquapainter
