Yesterday I made a batch of these cards to add to my stash to send during Lent. I used three different stamp sets for this project and I love how they all come together for the finished card. The Unbounded Love and Flowers of Beauty are part of the Unbounded Beauty Suite which is absolutely stunning. I haven’t used either stamp set a lot yet but they are both really versatile and I think that they deserve lots of creative love. I stamped the background with the Elements of Text stamp set which was in a recent Online Exclusive release. I really love having the option to have a stamped background of text to give some visual interest to a project. I stamped to create a tone-on-tone effect which is perfect to have a non distracting but interesting background. This stamp set is a real winner!
This sketch challenge was the inspiration for my card layout. I already knew that I wanted to play with Elements of Text for my next project and then this challenge was published. It was absolutely perfect for what I wanted to do! How could I not play along?!?
Many of the samples from the designers had a die cut element for the circle (or a different shape), which are all beautiful. I decided to interpret a little differently with the circular script stamp from Elements of Text. The Flowers of Beauty stamp and a die cut from the bundled dies were just the touch that I wanted for the floral/leafy element on the sketch. I have to say that I’m really happy with how this card turned out. What do you think?
Love the subtle script and your pretty leaves. Wonderful card! So glad you joined us this week at FMS!
Thanks Jen – it was fantastic to join the challenge again. The sketches are always inspiring!
Gorgeous! I love the layers of script, stamped and die cut leaves and that beautiful sentiment. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thanks Kim – it was a lot of fun to play along!
Love how you used this sketch.
Thanks so much Donna!!!
