Last evening I met up with the South Burlington stamp club group, and it was really great to see them! What a difference a month makes – last time we met it was still feeling like early Spring and last evening definitely felt like Summer. We have had several days in a row of sun and increasing temps, and we’re slated for a few more. May usually is beautiful here in VT, but this stretch of sun and warmth is especially noteworthy. One of the gals stopped by a local ice cream shop before joining us; that’s definitely a hint of the Summer vibe!
I used this color challenge as part of the inspiration for my card. I love the combination of these soft colors from the 2021-23 In Color collection. It’s perfect for creating a Spring-themed card with this great new set from the new Annual catalog. I did add a neutral (Early Espresso) to have some contrast and I think that’s still within the guidelines for the challenge (at least I hope so).
I immediately fell in love with this bundle when I saw the new catalog. I’m always a sucker for flower sets and the combination of flowers with interesting greeting combinations is totally in my sweet spot. I can’t wait to create even more with this versatile set! Also, this is my first card where I used the Brushed Brass Butterflies. I don’t know why I waited so long – these embellishments are fantastic!
