When I am designing a card I look in lots of different places for inspiration, especially on the interwebz. Sometimes I find color combinations that I like, sometimes a sketch is a great fit for a stamp set I want to use, and sometimes I come across a card design that I fall in love with as-is. That is what inspired me for this card. I found a card on another demonstrators blog and I just knew that I had to CASE it. I didn't have all of the supplies that she used, so I altered it a little bit to use what I have. Nevertheless, if you saw the two side-by-side, you would definitely see a very close resemblance. I really love this card design, and I think my alterations don't make it any less pretty.
This stamp set, along with all of the other merchandise from the Holiday catalog will be available until January 2nd. Once the new Occasions mini catalog starts on January 3rd, most of the items in the catalog will not be available any more. If you missed the opportunity to get something for your projects this year, then you will still be able to get it for holiday projects next year. There are a few items, along with some current carry-over items that will continue to be available until the new catalog comes out in June. Stampin' Up! has announced that this set will continue to be available as a "carry-over" item after January 3rd. You can see the current carry-over items here. Once the Occasions mini catalog start on January 3rd, this carry-over list will be updated to include the added items from the Holiday catalog.
