I recently attended an online stamping event and created a bunch of great projects. One of the four leaders always makes a box for one of the projects. This is the box that I made this time around. I went on my own in terms of the stamps, paper and colors but the project was wholly her design. I have to say that this box was the most complicated that she has ever designed. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really pleased with how this box turned out. And thankfully there are videos where the teacher showed us how it goes together. This would have been impossible with just a written description. I used to have a stamp club and those gals hated making boxes; as I was creating this I was imagining how they would have grumbled about it.
This box is actually pretty deep, but you can’t tell that from the picture. The teacher showed that she could put 8 cards plus envelopes which is perfect for giving a bunch of cards as a gift. The shadow box in the lid takes up some space and she brilliantly design the bottom of the box to take that into account. She maximized the amount of space in the box base with a sheet of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. She really is an impressive cardstock engineer!
