I’m still having a lot of fun creating with the Most Wonderful Time Medley. For some reason last year I had a tough time envisioning ways to use the products, so I’m especially thankful that Stampin’ Up! brought it back this year. I think one difference this year is that I’m really trying to “love it, chop it” with patterned paper instead of hoarding it for later use. The papers in this Medley are so gorgeous, and really step up a card. Another difference is that due to COVID-19 I’m not focusing on prepping for my stamp clubs (I really miss you gals!). I have to be a bit more careful with patterned paper when I have to cut 6-7 of the same paper for everyone. I couldn’t use a cardfront size piece like this one for club, but since I’m creating to share here I can go nuts. This is called making lemonade out of lemons!
I used this current sketch challenge as my inspiration. At first I was planning on making a “regular” card with a layered oval diecut in the center, and then I thought of the Sequins for Everything that I purchased and haven’t used very much. They are perfect for a shaker card, so I decided to go for it! I’ll make a total of 6 of these, so I can save a couple full sheets of the DSP for other creations. I’m trying to use more DSP, but I gotta work on it incrementally. 😉
